CONDUCT AND ATTITUDE

  • All students are expected to be respectful and courteous while on the school campus.
  • Theft of property from the school or other students is grounds for suspension, as such, Parents are encouraged to label all items for their children.
  • Students and staff work as a team to assist one another to reach excellence.  We strive to inspire this “team spirit” in every student and to benefit from the diverse approaches, broad spectrum of creativity, and talents which different students and faculty bring to the learning process.
  • We encourage each student to express his or her own individualism while at the same time respecting the needs, wishes, and interests of others; and when necessary, to compromise for the benefit of the whole.

HOMEWORK POLICY

  • Maximum number of homework  to be given in a week is three (weekends inclusive).  However, students may be given extra homework upon request by the guardian or parent.
  • Parents must supervise and also make sure homework is submitted on time.  Constant refusal of submission of homework will come with a penalty.

ASSESSMENT AND GRADING

  • There will be both formative and summative assessment during a term.  Teachers will assess students based on what has been taught in a term.  However at the end of an academic year, a complete assessment of students’ work will be conducted.
  • All assessment questions will be set by the various subject teachers and will be vetted by the Principal, vice-Principal and Teacher-in-charge.

PARENT – TEACHER CONFERENCE

  • There will be a Parent-Teacher conference twice every term.  Where Parents/Guardians get the opportunity to sit down with teachers and students to discuss progress, set targets, as well as plan for the future.  However, parents are encouraged to feel free to call upon teachers any time they have concerns.

DROP IN & PICK UP

  • When dropping off children, parents should ensure that an adult is always present.  And under no circumstance should a child be dropped outside the gates of the school.
  • Pick up time is from 3:20 pm to 3:45 pm daily.  The cut off pick up time is 3:45 pm.  Failure to pick up your child before this time attracts a charge of GH¢10.00 per day minutes or part thereof.  The Principal or her designate will request a meeting with any who are late three consecutive times in picking their children.

OUR SCHOOL DAY

  • School starts at 8:00 am prompt and closes at 3:00 pm.
  • There are 8 periods in a school day and each lesson lasts for 40 minutes.
  • There are two 15 minute snack break recesses (9:50 am – 10:10 am), another at (1:30 pm – 1:45 pm) and a 30 minute lunch break which will be provided by the school.
  • Parents are encouraged to use reusable containers for lunches and drinks for the sake of the environment.
